Beauty Over Cancer

Hello Everyone!   With those of you dealing with cancer, and the Healthcare Bill going possibly to vote soon, I was wondering: How will this affect your treatment if it passes? Would any of you be willing to share your stories out there in Blogland with the rest of us? I know a woman here in town who can't afford her treatments any more, as they are prohibitively expensive for her. That, IMO is criminal.   Today I was at the local hospital, and dropped off a business card (I feel so official now!) to the Oncology person who works with the "Look Good, Feel Better" Program of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  She gave me more details, and will call me the Friday before. I told her I had gift bags all ready to go, so she just had to give me the word! They have about 6 people so far, maybe less.   That's ok, it's a very small town...and it's my first event. I don't mind getting my feet wet a bit slowly. Also soliciting donations of headscarves/tichels from local churches, and the church closest to me has a "Hands-On" Service day the 5th Sunday, and invited me to come and explain what I am doing, and figured we could get donations. So let's hope! I also left some business cards at the local pharmacy! You never can tell! Gotta get the word out there! Other ideas? Suggestions? Until Next Time.....<3   Victori
